Betty Hawkins

Betty Hawkins is a strategic development and operations executive with 30 years of healthcare experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and payer markets.  She has built and led high-performing teams with healthcare clients that include hospitals, integrated delivery networks, academia, independent laboratories, payers, physicians and employers. Betty has a proven track record in the development and execution of effective payer, marketing, and sales strategies that result in achievement of organizational objectives.  She has particularly strong relationship management, business acumen and solutions-orientation.

Most recently Betty was the Senior Vice President of Business Development & Operations for Precera Bioscience to spearhead new business development strategies and identify partnerships with academia, payers, providers and government entities.  Previously she was Vice President, Strategic Initiatives with Diatherix Laboratories.  During her tenure at AstraZeneca, she held various Regional Leadership Positions within the Payer Market, Oncology, and Primary Care divisions.  Betty received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Lutheran University and graduated with summa cum laude honors.
